Boat Maintenance Seminar- Austin Showroom

The Boat Maintenance Seminar is a comprehensive course on maintaining the life and beauty of your boat. Great for new boat owners and a refresher for seasoned boaters. Learn the essentials of caring for your boat’s vital components that break down over time, saving you thousands of dollars in repairs. We go in depth and discuss topics that are important to you. You will learn from industry professionals how to make your boat the most beautiful and well running boat on the lake!

The seminar is broken into two main topic areas:

Engine Maintenance

The course focus is on things that can be done to extend the life of your boat, engine and trailer.

1. Checklist of items to check every time you go boating - fluid levels, battery, trailer etc.

2. Initial service

3. Annual service and impeller

4. Winterization

5. Battery maintenance

6. Trailer maintenance

Cosmetic Maintenance

The course focus is on things you can do periodically that will preserve your vinyl and gel coat. Damage/deterioration in these areas can be very easily avoided with a few simple tips.

1. Protecting your vinyl and sea deck (drying, uv protectants, etc)

2. Protecting your hull and gel coat (periodic wash and wax, talk about various methods and products)

3. Protecting from the elements (covering, poling, repellents etc)

4. At this point I would open things up and address specific questions or go in to detail on any issues that seem to be popular or peaking interest

Course participants are encouraged to interact with the speaker so the class can be tailored specially to their boating experiences.

Attending the course is complementary. Please register ahead of time so we have a head count.
