MarineMax Aims to Spread Breast Cancer Awareness this Fall
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and MarineMax is proud to support the cause. On Wednesday, October 20, MarineMax store locations will be “going pink” to encourage hope for victims and increase awareness.
Breast cancer is a disease many are facing today, and MarineMax wants to help support those affected by spreading the word. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®, one out of eight women in the United States will end up developing breast cancer during their lifetime, and it is estimated that there will be 281,500 newly identified cases of breast cancer this year. Men are also victims—statistics provided by the National Breast Cancer Foundation state that in 2021, it is suspected that 2,650 males in the U.S. will be diagnosed as well.
On a more positive note, statistics show there are over 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. With the advancement of medical technology, early detection, and spreading awareness, many lives can be saved—and our company wants to encourage others to make a positive impact. Through your help, we can make a difference! Join MarineMax to raise awareness on October 20 by “going pink” with us in-store or at home, and visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation online to donate and learn more about other great ways to get involved.
