According to the American Cancer Society, more than 20 million cancer screenings of all types were missed during 2020-2021 due to COVID-19. Additionally, more than 290,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and more than 3.8 million survivors are living in the U.S. today. The American Cancer Society has invested over $5 billion in cancer research since 1946, and in 2021, over $7 million was funded for early stage research for innovative breast cancer treatments.
