CHARLESTON, SC (November 16, 2020) – Two amazing charities, one location. MarineMax Charleston hosts a blood drive for the American Red Cross and is a drop off location for the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. 
 
Diana De Carvalho, MarineMax Regional Marketing Manager, states, "We hosted a few blood drives this year, and the turnout was so tremendous we decided to partner with them again. And this year we’re also working with the US Marine Corps Reserve for their Toys for Tots program, so we decided to combine forces with one very charitable event." 
 
Through December 10, MarineMax Charleston invites customers and community members to bring new, unwrapped toys to contribute to a great cause and help make a child's holiday season even brighter. Donations will go to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots annual gift drive. Typical items needed for family donations include gift cards to Walmart, Target, and local restaurants. For infants, 0-12 months, bouncy seats, developmental learning toys, and activity centers are great gift options. Gifts for both teen girls and boys include headphones, sunglasses, portable chargers, hats, backpacks, perfume or cologne, makeup or cosmetic bags, journals, and tumblers or water bottles. Help "Fill the Boat" this holiday season by donating to a family or child in need. 
 
If you stop by on November 20, you can also donate blood to the American Red Cross. The need for blood is constant, and patients continue to need lifesaving blood products. Donors that give blood will receive FREE COVID Antibody Testing, a complimentary health screening, and snacks and drinks after the donation is complete.
