MIAMI – Feb. 24, 2021 - Marine Marketers of America (MMA) announced the winners of the 2020 Neptune Awards for Marine Marketing Excellence. This year’s 13th annual competition was open to any organization producing and publishing marine industry marketing materials between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020. MarineMax took home the Best Sales Promotion for the "Your Crew" summer sales promotion!
“It was clear from the variety and creativity of work submitted this year that companies were rethinking how they communicated and interacted with boaters in 2020 to accommodate the new ways of doing business in a socially-distanced world,” said Courtney Chalmers, president of MMA. “It’s inspiring to see the new standards of excellence set by marketing professionals across the boating industry.”
One of the entry judges said, "There was a significant amount of thought and effort that went into this campaign. The copy, imagery and excitement jump off the page. The way MarineMax captured a dynamic moment on the boat, but in a still image application, was well executed. Splashing water, swimming off the back of the boat - the MarineMax crew is ready to help you enjoy all that boating has to offer. The overall graphic design is fantastic, and the copy is emotionally driven and conversational. The use of a $5000 fuel incentive, as well as adding in a nicely produced video, elevated the content and most likely supported their positive lead conversion."

The 2020 Neptune Awards drew 129 entries in 20 categories. More than 70 marketing leaders from throughout the marine industry were involved in the judging process. Read more about the awards in a recent press release.
