Welcome to From the Helm with MarineMax, where hosts Lisa and Kelley connect with boating industry leaders for weekly Boating Broadcasts. In this episode, find out more about how you can do your part from Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move for Hunger.

MarineMax is doing its part in giving back to the community by partnering with Move for Hunger to host a food drive at several locations. The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically increased the need for emergency food assistance nationwide. More than 37 million Americans were food insecure before the crisis, and Feeding America estimates that the number could increase by 17 million in 2020.

HEADLINES:

First up, organizers tout success at the 61st Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which ran Oct 28-Nov 1. The show was a scaled-down version compared to past events, but exhibitors said they saw pent-up demand from attendees. The five-day outdoor show featured hundreds of exhibitors and boats on display across nearly 90 acres and six city sites. MarineMax hosted an Exclusive Sales Event online in conjunction with the show, bringing the show experience to living rooms across the country.

Next, we dive into the Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe, the largest boat in Sea Ray’s Sport Cruiser line. It successfully leaps from open runabout to a smaller coastal cruiser with entertainment amenities and can overnight a family of four to six people.

Finally, Nautique is in the running for Boating Magazine’s BOAT OF THE YEAR! Looks count, and the Nautique G25 Paragon’s hull sides present a striking mix of dimensional facets that smooth out toward the transom, providing the V-drive wake-making machine with a bold, aggressive look and the implication of motion while at rest.
