A History of Galeon Yachts
Galeon was founded as a family-owned operation in Poland in 1982, and remains privately owned to this day.
After originally focusing on smaller boats in its early years, Galeon expanded its vision in the late 1990s and early 2000s, transitioning into the world of luxury yachts. That change marked the start of Galeon’s evolution into one of the most trusted yacht brands.
Where Are Galeon Yachts Made?
All of Galeon’s yachts are made in Poland, where the company operates two state-of-the-art production facilities. Galeon’s commitment to manufacturing almost everything in-house – from their yacht hulls to the design details – ensures a high level of quality control.
Once the yachts are fully built, they are carefully transported to the United States and sold exclusively through MarineMax.
Galeon Yacht Models
Galeon sells four different model lines of its yachts in the United States. While all models prioritize performance and luxury, each series has different features and specs designed to accommodate different boating lifestyles.
-
Flybridge (FLY)
Galeon’s Flybridge models are spacious both inside and out. Each model has plenty of seating, as well as sleeping quarters and kitchen areas. But the main feature of this series is the expansive flybridge, a second-level deck area that provides even more space for entertaining and taking in the stunning views around you. -
Hardtop (HTC/HTS)
Yachts in Galeon's Hardtop series offer superior protection against the elements thanks to their enclosed design. This series is made up of Hardtop Coupe (HTC) and Hardtop Sport (HTS) models. While both are built for performance, HTS models have a sportier design, while the HTCs are more elegant.
-
Skydeck (SKY)
The Skydeck line features Galeon’s most luxurious and innovative yacht models. Each SKY yacht features ample living and entertaining space, with multiple cabins, alfresco bars, and a flybridge upper deck. These models also offer plenty of storage space, as well as natural lighting, thanks to their large windows and sunroofs.
Which Model Is Right for Me?
All of Galeon’s yachts are designed for comfort, performance, and luxury. But some models may have a layout or specific features that can accommodate certain boating activities better.
When you’re trying to decide which Galeon is right for you, think about what you really want to use your yacht for. Are you mostly interested in day cruising and the occasional tow sport? You’ll probably want to opt for one of the sportier models. If you’re more interested in overnight trips, weekend getaways, and entertaining, Galeon’s larger and more luxurious models are probably more suitable.

How to Care for Your Galeon Yacht
Galeon Yachts are engineered for lasting performance, but they still require regular maintenance to stay in peak condition.
Here are some things to keep an eye on to make sure your Galeon stays ready for adventure:
- Wash the exterior down regularly with fresh water – especially if your yacht is a saltwater boat
- Track your engine hours and stay on top of engine service
- Keep the interior and upholstery clean
- Winterize your boat properly, and make sure it’s tuned up and ready to go before getting back out on the water in the spring or summer
While you can probably handle some of those regular cleaning tasks yourself, seasonal maintenance and repairs should always be handled by a professional. At MarineMax, we offer a full range of services – from routine upkeep to engine repowering and upholstery repairs – performed by factory-certified technicians.
Owners can easily schedule maintenance online or through the MarineMax App for added convenience. When you purchase through MarineMax, you’ll also receive a comprehensive boating kit stocked with essentials and cleaning supplies, along with helpful tips to keep your boat looking its best, season after season.
