MarineMax Pompano Appoints New Director of Fixed Operations
Kyle Roney, MarineMax Pompano General Manager, comments, “I am pleased to welcome James Barnhart to the MarineMax family. He will oversee both our Parts and Service Departments as the Director of Fixed Operations in Pompano Beach. With over 26 years of experience in the marine service industry, we’re looking forward to learning with and from James as he moves our operations forward.”
A native of Seattle, James got his sea legs at a young age and, as a result, has developed into an avid boater and fisherman. Beginning his career in the Marine Industry as a detailer right out of college, it was not long until James showed his potential and was promoted to Service Manager. After several successful years, he branched out and began his own marine service and detailing company. He ran the business for a decade before selling and returning to work as the Director of Operations at an existing dealership.
“I love spending time with my family, travel adventures, boating, beach time, cooking, snorkeling, fishing, biking, golf and shooting sports,” begins James. “I am thankful and honored to be accepted as part of the MarineMax team in Pompano and the MarineMax family as a whole. I feel like I have worked my entire career to get an opportunity like this and plan to give it my all so everyone on the team will find success!”
James is relocating to South Florida for the position and is joined by his lovely wife of six years, Heather. They have six children, ages 15 to 26; Hannah, Riley, Foster, Reece, Kirby, and Katja. The youngest, Hannah, and oldest, Kirby, are migrating to Florida with them, along with their three dogs and four cats. The family is close-knit and passionate about boating, fishing, golfing, and outdoor adventure. They are looking forward to being members of the MarineMax family and taking advantage of everything South Florida offers.
