New to boating and want to learn the basics? Join us for our 3-part winter class series! 

Our first class on February 19th, from 6-8pm will focus on the following topics:

  • Introduction to Boating: Types of boats, key boating terms, and local MN waterways

  • Understanding Boat Controls: Helm basics, throttle, trim, and steering

  • Safety Equipment 101: Life jackets, flares, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits

  • Rules of the Water: Right of way, no-wake zones, and MN state boating laws

  • Launching and Docking: Boat ramp etiquette, trailer tips, and docking techniques

  • Basic Navigation: Reading buoys, charts, and GPS systems
