Advanced Coastal Navigation

MarineMax Danvers is teaming up with the Captains from Boatwise to teach our Advanced Coastal Navigation class Saturday, March 12 from 8:30am to 5pm. Continued instruction from where beginner coastal navigation leaves off. Topics include: tide and current calculations, determining corrections for set and drift before departure and once underway, running fixes and advancing lines of position, restricted visibility piloting, two and three-point fixes. This 8-hour curriculum includes 2 to 3 hours of hands-on chart work using skills taught. All materials included.

This informative session is offered on a reservation basis; with a credit card deposit of $60 per person upon registration. The instructors are all USCG certified captains from Boatwise, Inc., New England's premier boating education company. After the class is completed, a Certificate of Completion will be emailed to each participant. 

As class size is limited, please register by filling out the form below and call our store at (781) 395-0050 to make a deposit to reserve your spot. Following registration, an email will be sent containing instructions for the class from Boatwise.

*Any class registration fees and/or deposits will be waived for customers who have purchased a new vessel through MarineMax Massachusetts locations. Contact Jill Sudo for more information on processing your free registration for this course.
