October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and MarineMax is proud to stand with this important cause. On Thursday, October 10, we’re joining the American Cancer Society’s Power of Pink Day to #GoPinkWithAPurpose. This initiative aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote the importance of regular screenings. We encourage everyone to take a moment to educate themselves and support those who have yet to be screened.
Breast Cancer Facts
According to the Breast Cancer Facts & Figures 2022-2024 report from the American Cancer Society, it is estimated that 297,790 people will be diagnosed with new cases of breast cancer in 2024, with 2,800 of those cases occurring in men. Additionally, there are currently over 4 million survivors in the U.S. living with a history of breast cancer, and approximately 165,000 patients are managing metastatic breast cancer.
Savings Lives Through Early Detection
Research proves that early detection is crucial for saving lives, and MarineMax is dedicated to the health and wellness of our team members and customers. We encourage regular breast cancer screenings starting as early as age 40 and recommend discussing individual screening options with your healthcare provider. MarineMax is proud to support the work and research of the American Cancer Society by donating and participating in the #GoPinkWithAPurpose initiative at our store locations. Join us in raising awareness by wearing pink on October 10, and visit the American Cancer Society or Making Strides online to discover other impactful ways to get involved.
