A Bimini top is a canvas boat top that provides shade across the entire vessel. They are able to be folded up or down for easy storage or clearance under a low bridge. While these covers are simple to deploy and provide a lot of sun protection, they can rip and eventually get holes in them if not properly maintained.
Sports arches are another type of canvas top that provide shade, but they are smaller and cover less area than a Bimini top. A sports arch is much sportier and sleeker than a Bimini, but also has the added benefit of being outfitted with the ability to pull a water skier. Just like a Bimini top, these covers can rip and develop holes.
Even better, for a limited time, select in-stock SPX Series models qualify for a free Bimini or sport tower upgrade, up to a $6,431 MSRP value.* You can learn more about this exclusive offer here
Both of these styles have their advantages and are more prevalent on certain types of boats than others. Call, click or visit your local MarineMax store or marina
