Scott graduated with a degree in marketing from Florida State University. He joined the MarineMax team in 1992 and quickly realized his passion for getting people out on the water to experience the boating dream. Scott now specializes in the luxury yacht market, providing high quality brands and exceptional service to clients around the globe. MarineMax has made a statement in the yachting world, and this has given Scott the opportunity to offer brands with exceptional craftmanship and prestigious reputations to his current and potential clients. These brands include Ocean Alexander, Hatteras, Azimut, Benetti, WIDER, and Galeon brands, as well as a partnership with Fraser and Northrop & Johnson.

Selling large yachts involves catering to a niche market of high-net-worth individuals who have a passion for boating and desire the utmost quality and luxury in their vessels. By focusing on high-level service, Scott aims to deliver a personalized and exclusive experience to clients by providing expert advice and guidance, long after the sale. Scott believes his relationship with his clients does not stop after delivery, rather it is just the beginning of their journey. This mindset enables him to maintain long-term relationships to meet clients' ongoing yacht-related needs.

Scott has earned numerous awards throughout his 31 years with MarineMax. He is the proud two-time recipient of the Hatteras Salesperson of the Year award, Hatteras’ Top Gun Award, and the Hatteras Distinguished Award. Scott has recorded more than a Billion in sales in the last 20 years, and is an inaugural member of the MarineMax Chairman’s Circle, an award for top sales achievement each fiscal year based on the best sales performance by individual sales consultants. In 2019, 2021, and 2022 Scott received the Top Gun Award, which recognizes him as the Top Salesman for New and Used boats. He was also awarded the Top Yacht Broker Award in 2019 and 2020 for brokerage sales. Scott has earned the status of Top Broker for Brokerage Sales for MarineMax four times over the last seven years & the MarineMax Top Gun New & Used Award three times in the last four years. Ocean Alexander awarded Scott as the Overall Global Top Salesman for their brand for 2018- 2022.

Scott believes that the finer things in life are best experienced on the water, and yachting is as much about the lifestyle as it is about owning a yacht. Besides the boating retail business, Scott's passions are spending time on the water with his family, golfing, and snow skiing. Scott and his wife, Misty, have two sons.
