It started with a passion. Over 40 years ago, our founder, Bill McGill, moved to Florida with a vision to build a boating company that didn't just sell boats, but genuinely connected people to the water. In 1998, that vision took a bold new turn. Bill united a team of the country's top boat retailers to officially form MarineMax, bringing a new standard of excellence to the boating industry and creating what would become the world's largest recreational boat retailer.
