Meet Benetti Yachts

As one of the oldest Italian shipyards, Benetti is proud to uphold the values and craftsmanship that this artistic and innovative culture is known for. Discover timeless style and excellence in construction on every Benetti yacht.

The Benetti Family

A complete category of four different models has been built on the success of the Benetti history: Delfino 95, Mediterraneo 116, Fast 125 and Diamond 145. They have all been designed and developed by famous architects, including Righini, Zuretti, Cassetta and RWD, and by Benetti’s own team of in-house engineers, architects and designers, whose skills have ensured the perfect integration of every product.

Established by Lorenzo Benetti in 1873, the company began life building wooden boats used for local and international trade. After the death of Lorenzo, his two sons Gino and Emilio took over the management of the boatyard, changing its name to Fratelli Benetti. After the Second World War, Benetti changed direction and began producing pleasure craft made from steel. Then in the early 1960s the boatyard produced its first luxury mega yachts. Since 1980 the fleet has included big motor yachts in the 30 to 60-meter range and beyond. In 1985 the Boatyard was acquired by the boat builder Azimut Spa, which transformed Benetti into the modern, technologically advanced reality we know today: a forward-looking and innovative boatyard, but also one that proudly retains its traditional values of experience, skill and a passion for fine craftsmanship.

Over the last decade Benetti has focused on building yachts that minimize environmental impact, introducing solutions at both engineering and operational level that limit the pollution produced by its craft right from the design stage. In order to prevent air pollution, Benetti not only periodically analyses exhaust fumes, but has also banned the use on board of gases that damage the ozone layer.

Flexibility, creativity, determination and passion, combined with the courage to take responsibility and accept ever changing challenges: these are the skills of the Benetti team. Architects, engineers, project managers, designers, specialist engineers and individual craftsmen: the finest professionals with the best credentials to create products to standards of quality that exceed the sum total of their individual points of excellence.
