Texas Boating Safety Certification Course

This beginner boating class will give participants the knowledge needed to obtain a boat identification card for the state of Texas. It's also a great refresher class for anyone new to boating or anyone looking to get back on the water.

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas will need . See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by a Texas Parks & Wildlife certified instructor. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship.


Cost is $20 and a boating identification card will be issued upon completion of the course.
