Barrel Boss Virtual Wakesurf Contest
Twenty-twenty has been a year for the books and just like everything, we are adapting. To keep the momentum of our 12+ year history going, we are hosting the first ever Virtual Barrel Boss Wakesurf Competition.
Here’s how it works:
To qualify for tournament entry:
Submit an unedited video of your best wakesurf run that does not exceed one minute. Practice it as many times as you want, but only send one video per division.
Only the first one minute of video will be judged.
One rider per video (unless entering the Interpretive Division)
If you qualify for multiple divisions, you must submit a separate video for each.
The video needs to be shot from a spectator’s perspective inside the boat.
Film it with anything. We will not be judging the quality of the video, but if we can’t see the rider, we can’t judge the rider.
Participants must visibly wear a coast guard approved life jacket.

Please create a share link for your video (via Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, Onedrive, etc.) and submit using the online form.
Accepted file types: MP4, MPEG4, or MOV
Please name your video file with your name and the division you’re entering.
All videos must be submitted by November 7th.
We will judge the videos the same way we judge a live competition: best ride wins. Winners will be announced November 14th .
The division options are:
Groms- Boys and girls 10 and under
Junior- Boys and girls 16 and under
Open Men’s- Men over 16
Open Women’s- Women over 16
Master’s- Men and Women over 40
Open Skim- Anyone of any age may enter, but your board must be less than 4’10’’ and have no more than one fin less than 2”.
Adaptive- Men and women of any age who are handicapable. If you have any questions about whether you qualify for this division, please contact us.
Interpretive- Come one, come all. Anyone, of any age, can compete in this division using props, pets, other people or even costumes! Can you ride a party wave with 3 of your closest friends? This would be the division for you!
Outlaw: Pro-riders Only. Professional wake surf riders will not be allowed to participate in any other division.
We will place the top 3 riders in each division, but everyone gets a swag bag provided by Nautique. There is no charge for Barrel Boss this year. We just want to provide a little healthy competition to keep you excited for next year.
