With almost a decade of experience and a broad knowledge in the different areas of the yachting industry, Claudia joined MarineMax to help expand the Charter Division. Her vast foundation and knowledge of all charter yachts available in the worldwide market allows her to give clients advice for the perfect yacht and destination; be it for a first time luxury charterer or an experienced client looking to plan their next best family vacation.

Claudia was born in Colombia and moved to the US at the age of 14. She attended college at Florida Atlantic University graduating with degrees in Marketing and Management. While still in college she started her career working for Merle Wood & Associates, one of the biggest yacht brokerage firms in the country. After graduation, her passion for the industry took over; she spent 5 years at Merle Wood where she learned from highly experienced individuals, gaining extensive knowledge in Sales, Marketing, Charter, Crew and Yacht Management.

Looking to expand her education, Claudia decided to go back to school where she acquired her Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 2013 she joined worldwide renowned International Yacht Collection (IYC), a full-service yacht brand, where she was able to showcase all her experience and education. Claudia worked side by side with one of the firm’s top selling brokers, developing new relationships and building client loyalty which validates her outstanding skills on all sides of the business.
