The CABO 43 Flybridge has it all. Combining a sleek, sporty exterior with premium fishing features, tournament-level speeds, and stylish accommodations, she is engineered to prey on everything in the water - whether hard-hitting billfish or competitive boat models. Her remarkably seaworthy performance and massive cockpit give her the feel of a much bigger boat, providing owners the capability and confidence of a go-anywhere, do-anything battlewagon in an easier to own and operate package.

Performance

Before introducing the 43 Flybridge, CABO put her hull through a total of 184 test runs at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. Here, the design team analyzed spray patterns, running angles, center of gravity, displacement, and performance with and without strakes.

As a result, this pelagic powerhouse has one of the best-running hulls found anywhere, particularly on a boat her size. She rides dry and smooth in a head sea, remains stable in a beam sea, and is notably agile at speed. She also backs down quickly with complete control, a valuable asset when bringing in a big fish or maneuvering into a tight slip.

Fishability

At 136 square feet, the cockpit can accommodate a stand-up fishing party of six or more - yet optional cockpit helm controls mean the boat can be fished by a couple, too. A 48-gallon transom livewell has a unique remote-activated drain plug, and the backside of its cover doubles as a cutting board. Two 52-gallon insulated fish boxes with in-line macerators are located in the sole. Rod holders, fresh and saltwater washdowns, a bait prep center, coaming pads, icebox, and beefy transom door with top gate round out the extensive list of standard fishing amenities.

Design & Construction

The flybridge features a comfortable, tournament-style layout with a centerline helm overlooking the cockpit. Teak ladder-back helm and companion pedestal chairs come standard, with ample room to walk behind them. An immense console can handle a full array of flush-mounted, large-screen electronics within close proximity to the wheel. Forward and to port lie benches from which the crew can take in the sights all around.

Mechanically, the 43 Flybridge incorporates all the meticulous details that people have come to expect from CABO. There's 360 degrees of space to work around the diesel engines. Electric fuel primer pumps are standard, and the oil exchange system services engines and transmissions, as well as the generator. Other standard equipment like dual fuel filters with a throw valve, a fire suppression system, and high-water bilge alarms promise safety and security. The engine room is finished in smooth, white gelcoat, providing a clean surface that repels water and other fluids for easy cleanup. And there's much more. Accommodations

Notably, the cabin of the 43 Flybridge is just as spacious as the exterior. The master stateroom has a roomy double berth, along with a private head and full shower, while the guest cabin is fitted with a double berth and two bunks located high on the port and starboard sides.

Innovative use of space is found throughout, including the location of the optional washer/dryer combo unit, which is accessed by lifting the companionway steps. The salon is large and comfortable, with luxury appointments and under-sofa rod storage that can be opened without removing any cushions. A flat-screen television equipped with a Bose® home theater provides entertainment after a long day at sea. The galley has upgraded standards, such as a Sub Zero® two-drawer pullout refrigerator and a large freezer to accommodate provisions for a longer trip.
